Early Morning Distress

Travelling back from Railway Station to home is a stressful affair on Monday mornings. Of course there are Volvo buses, which are the most preferred for their comfort and speed. But they are crowded, and most passengers at 5 in the morning are fellow software engineers. On top of it, the conductor will also be irate. He tends to yell at people for many reasons. He had to wake up early and deal with obstinate passengers.  He has to ensure that all folks have taken tickets or he will he held responsible.  Some passengers block the passageway with their luggage, making it hard for others to move. I was lucky enough to get a seat and had about an hour to pass time. My favourite pastime for such occasions is observing people. It gives me pleasure to understand the workings of human mind and some people form better subjects than others. I happened to spot my "subject". She was a young girl, in her early twenties and she had a large suitcase. She had a friend, who had a

The Hard Work Continues

Building a blog is a lot of hard work. It is essential to be credible and to do so you need to have a unique set of sources. After a lot of research on finding good pictures, without any copyright or other violations, I have gathered my sources for images. I decided to do it the right way and contacted a few of my friends who are into photography. I sent each one a message on Facebook asking them in a general way to share their pictures on my blog. All of them have agreed to let me do so and I am proud to be sharing my friends' works of art. All this running around (not literally) has made me think of my blog as a business. Or rather a magazine of sorts. Just like the creative heads there, who rack their brains for innovative content, I am also doing the same. I am the owner, editor, journalist and the photographer(whenever the pictures are mine) combined. It is a lot of responsibility to shoulder. I am laying the foundation to my blog, with all the passion and dedication tha

For those of you wondering, this is a picture that I had taken on the way to office. I didn't have any fancy equipment, just my 2 MP Motorola EX 115.

Of E-commerce Websites and MP 3 players

I was having a friendly conversation with my friend yesterday. We have a freaky connection; whenever I feel like talking to her, she pings me. That's how it's been happening and I have no complaints. Among other things, I had the following conversation with her. Me: Did I tell you that I got a new phone? She: Oh ya... you got it through that E-commerce website right? I bought my phone on Ebay and what she said struck me hard. It was the right thing after all. Ebay is an E-commerce website and over the years has made itself synonymous with E-commerce. No one refers it thus and it is known as Ebay. So when she said e-commerce website, it took me a few seconds to figure out what she was taking about and I thanked her for racking my brain. A few years ago, I faced a similar situation with my colleague. It was related to handling a particularly difficult*situation and she asked me how I was dealing with it. I told her that I listen to songs on my iPod. Later when we were with

What to blog about?

This is a pretty common topic for a blog and I am not going to write about what is already present on internet. Of course, I have read a lot of posts with similar topics and have lost a lot of sleep trying to improve my writing. But none of those helped. I have been writing for six years now and I wouldn't say I am very successful, because I never made my blog public. I shared the URL with a few of my friends and some of them "accidentally" came across it. All of them did give me positive comments and a few negative comments which I agree to this day. Coming back to the point, "What to blog about?", is a very vast topic. There is no right or wrong and it all depends on your intention for your blog. Writing is separate from marketing. It is necessary to build a personal style, know what one is comfortable with and slowly build from there. I am not very experienced to advise anyone and it isn't my intention to do so. If you ask me, write whatever you fee
